Chelsea vs Liverpool is normally a fire-branded extravaganza but this fixture in the Premier League will be even more important, now that both the sides have suffered defeats in their first Champions League match earlier this week.

While the Blues lost at home to Valencia, Liverpool, on the other hand, went down 2-0 to Napoli away from home. So naturally both the sides will be eager to redeem themselves this coming Sunday.

This will be an even more crucial match for Jurgen Klopp’s men because they are currently five points clear of Man City at the top of the table but if the Citizens manage to win their respective league clash on Saturday then the gap will move down to only two points. So naturally, Liverpool will have to pick up a win so as to maintain the distance.

Chelsea are currently sitting sixth in the league table with 8 points and as things stand there are five other clubs who have amassed the same number of points. So if the Blues cannot beat Liverpool on Sunday then they might even drop out of the top half of the table.
