Manchester United might have missed out on Paulo Dybala but it looks like they might be close to signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.

As per rumours, the Red Devils have offered the midfielder a five-year deal in recent days and Eriksen is now seriously considering a move.

Real Madrid have been trying to sign the Spurs man ever since the summer transfer window opened but now it looks like Christian Eriksen might be on his way to Man United as he is looking for a new challenge next season.

talkSPORT are reporting: “Manchester United are reportedly close to agreeing on a deal with Tottenham over the transfer of Christian Eriksen.

“The future of the Dane has been a hot topic this summer, with just one year remaining on his current contract at Spurs.”

It is being claimed that the playmaker is convinced with Solskjaer’s plans and is ready to commit his future to the Old Trafford outfit.

Having said that though, Real Madrid are still in pursuit of Christian Eriksen but Zidane will only move for the midfielder in case he fails to sign Paul Pogba.

AS have reported: “The ‘Pogba Case’ has many actors pending in the world of football. What happens with the Manchester United player at the moment will affect players from other clubs.

“One of them is Christian Eriksen (27 years old). As AS has learned, from the Bernabéu they maintain regular contact with the Danish environment and last week they relayed the idea that the Tottenham midfielder is still on the Madrid list of possible reinforcements if they cannot sign Pogba”

It is being reported that Spurs are not too eager to let Christian Eriksen leave but Daniel Levy might not have any choice given that the player has only one year remaining on his current deal.

Spurs want around £60 million in order to let their star player leave and right now Man United have no hesitation in paying that amount more so if they can get a good deal out of the sale of Paul Pogba.
