Former Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois is not particularly liked by the Blues fans especially after what he did during the summer.
Courtois had been wanting to head back to Spain for a couple of seasons now and finally, he saw the opportunity this summer with him entered the final phase of his contract with Chelsea.
The Belgium international literally forced his way out of England and joined La Liga side Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.
But this controversial move to Real Madrid has not worked too well for the shot-stopper.
In his 13 appearances for Real Madrid, Courtois has conceded as many as 18 goals while he had managed to shutout just five shots.
And now former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has claimed to know the reason behind the keeper’s poor performances at Real Madrid this season.
“I wouldn’t say he’s having an absolute shocker, but it’s true things haven’t gone particularly well for him,” the Australian told Thursday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“His record is damning, for sure. They’ve got Keylor Navas on the bench so he may come in for him at the moment.
“But it’s not only Courtois.
“It’s no surprise that a lot of the players who went furthest in the World Cup, especially around this stage of the season are starting to struggle.
“Whether it be with injury or a lack of form or people saying they’re burnt out, I don’t think that’s a coincidence whatsoever.”
Chelsea brought in Kepa Arizzabalaga during the summer transfer window as a long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois and the new Blues man is most certainly enjoying a much more relaxed life as compared to the Belgium international at Real Madrid.
