Crystal Palace have had a mixed start to their Premier League season and next up, they will take on Fulham at home this weekend.

The Eagles have secured two wins from their first five matches and they are currently ninth on the EPL table with the same number of points as their next opponents.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson missed the Aston Villa game due to an illness but the club has officially announced that the 76-year-old is back to full fitness and will be in charge of the team against Fulham at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Both these sides are pretty evenly matched this season so we are expecting a close contest but Crystal Palace do not have a good recent record against the visitors. The last time the Eagles picked up a win vs Fulham was back in October of 2020.

Crystal Palace’s team news and injuries:

Roy Hodgson has a long injury list going into Saturday’s home game and Michael Olise along with Matheus França are long-term absentees for Crystal Palace. According to a report in the Standard, Michael Olise has sustained a fresh setback, aggravating his hamstring injury and he will be on the sidelines for a significant amount of time.

Marc Guehi missed the Aston Villa game due to an injury but he should be back in the starting line up this weekend.

His manager had told the press last week: “It’s a problem that we think can be easily managed, or he isn’t unduly worried about, but the game has come too soon unfortunately.

“It’s a fairly minor thing. It was just that the impact injury caused it to flare up a little bit has meant he can’t play in this game.”

Jefferson Lerma and Nathan Ferguson are also doubts for this weekend with the former recovering from a hamstring injury. Hodgson had claimed that Ferguson’s injury was minor so there’s an outside chance, he will be available for selection.

23-year-old Chris Richards played in central defence due to Guehi’s absence but now that the England international is going to return, Richards will move back to the bench.

We believe this is going to be the only change in the Crystal Palace starting line up so every other player who played against Villa will hold onto their place when Fulham come to town.
