Man City take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this weekend and Pep Guardiola will be hoping his players can continue the perfect run.

This season, MCFC have won all of their five league games keeping them at the top of the EPL table with 15 points and they also kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 win over FK Crvena Zvezda this week.

Man City are the overwhelming favourites to win on Saturday but the last time these two sides met, Forest held City to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League. Nottingham Forest have also picked up a 1-0 win over Chelsea this season but we seriously do not see them inflicting any sort of blow on the defending champions this time around.

MCFC’s team news and injuries:

Bernardo Silva is the latest addition to City’s injury list after he picked up a knock on Tuesday night and even though the extent of his injury is not known yet, the midfielder will likely miss the Forest game.

Man City will assess Silva’s injury on Thursday but the initial belief is that the knock is not serious and the Portugal international won’t be on the sidelines for too long.

Jack Grealish and John Stones are both out with thigh injuries and they are expected to miss out on Saturday. As per the latest rumours, Stones, who is yet to play a league game this season, will be out for some more time while Grealish will be out for another seven to ten days.

Gvardiol and Manuel Akanji were both rested for City’s European tie on Tuesday so they will be coming back into the starting XI.

Mateo Kovacic is closer to a return and is expected to be available for selection this weekend. Kovacic’s return will be a big boost for the Man City manager now that Bernardo Silva has picked up a knock.

If Kovacic is fully fit then he will come straight into the starting lineup, replacing Matheus Nunes in central midfield.

Kevin De Bruyne will remain sidelined until mid-December and we think the Man City manager will rely on Julian Alvarez as the No 10. The 23-year-old provided two assists against the Hammers and then went on to score a brace in midweek so he deserves to hold onto his place.

Grealish and Bernardo Silva’s absence means both Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku will get starts on Saturday with the England international playing out on the right and Doku on the other wing.

Man City predicted line up vs Nottingham Forest:

Predicted Starting line up(4-2-3-1): Ederson; Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, Akanji, Walker; Rodri, Kovacic/Nunes; Foden, Alvarez, Jeremy Doku; Haaland.
