Arsenal have made it clear that Aaron Ramsey will not be provided with a new contract and it seems the club are planning to do the same with Danny Welbeck.

According to the latest reports, Danny Welbeck is free to leave Arsenal at the start of the new year as Unai Emery has chosen not to provide the striker with a new contract.

Danny Welbeck joined Arsenal in 2014 from Manchester United and since then the forward has played 119 games for the Gunners – scoring 31 goals.

During all this time at the Emirates, Danny Welbeck has never been able to make himself the first choice striker under Arsene Wenger and now with Unai Emery at the helm, things have gotten worse for the England international.

The Gunners already have Aubameyang and Lacazette as their first choice striker and Unai Emery feels he has no need for Danny Welbeck.

Danny Welbeck is free to leave Arsenal by the end of the season and they have also allowed the forward to agree to a deal with a foreign club in January itself.

Welbeck seems to be suffering the same fate as Aaron Ramsey despite Ian Wright recently urging the club to keep hold of the forward given he is a top-class substitute.

Recent reports suggest Emery chose to let go of Ramsey in a bid to cut the wage bills at the club and the fact that Danny Welbeck is free to leave Arsenal might also be because of the same reason.

Arsenal have not qualified for the Champions League this season which has severely hit their finances and Unai Emery is now looking at the academy graduates to fill in those secondary roles in the first team squad.
