West Ham United youngster Declan Rice has been part of a complex contract negotiation for a couple of weeks now but it seems the matter will finally come to rest.

The Hammers midfielder’s current contract expires next summer and the club are desperate to tie down to a new deal as soon as possible.

Declan Rice currently receives £3,000-per-week in wages under the terms of his contract which in today’s day and age is next to nothing.

But recent reports suggested that the London outfit are ready to offer him a new deal under which he will be receiving £15,000-per-week.

This though has not gone down too well with the representatives of Declan Rice who have immediately rejected the offer as some reports claim they want more money.

The representatives are holding out for a figure of £30,000-per-week which up until now West Ham United were hesitating to pay.

But the management has now been convinced by Manuel Pellegrini that Declan Rice is the star of the future following which the club is ready to meet the player’s demands.

Following this Manuel Pellegrini has made it clear that the youngster will hopefully sign a new deal.

“Declan I think must try to continue to have good performances, not thinking about more or less money at the moment,” said Pellegrini.

“Nobody at the club is stupid. He’s not a young player anymore and I don’t think he will have any problems with his contract in the future.”

Declan Rice had been instrumental for the Hammers last season and this season too the youngster is showing the same potential.
