Jose Mourinho tactics to be used in the FA Cup final?

Jose Mourinho took charge of Tottenham Hotspur a couple of weeks ago and since then the Lilywhites seem to have found a new gear. And this Sunday, the Lilywhites went into the London Derby against Chelsea as the favourites.

Spurs were supposed to pick up all the three points more so since the Blues had been in a really poor run of form during the past couple of weeks.

But in the end, it was the Blues who dominated the match and ended up winning it 2-0 thanks to a brace from Willian.

Chelsea were the better side all throughout the match and according to Jamie Redknapp, Jose Mourinho made a key tactical mistake which helped the Stamford Bridge outfit take control of the match.

“Frank selected a system that Tottenham could not handle, and that’s that. When I saw Mourinho’s XI, what stood out to me was the midfield,” Redknapp said.

“Dier and Sissoko started together and I did not think that would be enough to get control.

“Mourinho had good players in Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele sitting on the bench.

“The Portuguese tried to fix it at half time, bringing on Christian Eriksen for Dier. But Chelsea imposed their game on Tottenham throughout.”

“It was fast-paced, the young players showed their quality, Willian put on a masterclass, N’Golo Kante did what he does in midfield and Spurs had no answer.

“These were three valuable points for Chelsea after their slight dip in form. What Frank has to do now is make sure they put in performances like this against your Bournemouths and Evertons. Get those wins.”

While the midfielder area for Spurs did look weak but Jose Mourinho had another major issue to deal with during the match.

The Spurs defence looked really fragile all throughout the match as the likes of Vertonghen and Aurier clearly failed to keep the Chelsea forwards at bay.
