Premier League giants Manchester United are looking to sign Douglas Costa as well as full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus during the ongoing transfer window.
talkSPORT cites CalcioMercato saying: “Man United are lining up a double swoop for Douglas Costa AND Alex Sandro, stunning reports in Italy claim.
“CalcioMercato reports the Red Devils are considering a move for both Juventus stars.
“It is said that double swoop would set Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back around £72million.
“Costa is seen as an alternative to Jadon Sancho while Sandro has long been on United’s radar.
Can Man United sign both Douglas Costa & Alex Sandro?
Douglas Costa is being eyed by Man United as an alternative to Jadon Sancho who seems like will stay with Borussia Dortmund for one more year.
Reports suggest that Man United are considering a bid for Douglas Costa but they are wary about the move due to the winger’s inability to stay healthy over long periods of time. This season, the 29-year-old has played in only 23 Serie A games for Juventus.
And as far as Alex Sandro is concerned, the left-back has been linked with Manchester United since ages now but each time, the Red Devils fail to sign him for one reason or another.
While Luke Shaw has done a good enough job in that left-back role but the England international like Costa just cannot stay fully fit and this could be one of the main reasons why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to sign Sandro this summer.
But then, the Norwegian manager has the perfect backup in the form of Brandon Williams.
We are still not sure how Juventus will react to his especially with Andrea Pirlo just taking charge of the senior side a couple of weeks ago.
