Will these two key players miss out from the starting XI for Man United vs Fulham?

Man United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield in the EPL on Sunday but defender Eric Bailly along with Nemanja Matic were both omitted from the starting line-up.

This came as a bit of a surprise since Bailly has been in peak form over the past couple of weeks and against a team like Liverpool, everyone thought Ole would the experience of Matic instead of Scott McTominay.

But the absence of the pair has raised a lot of eyebrows with many rumours claiming that they might have not be a 100% fit to start.

Thankfully, Solskjaer has cleared the air after the match stating that Bailly and Matic were both left out of the game on Sunday purely due to tactical reasons.

He told the press, as reported: “Victor has been training this week to get ready for this game, I gave him the Burnley game off.

“It’s a game where we think we need the energy of Scott and Fred, I thought Nemanja and Paul in midfield last time were incredible.”

Will Eric Bailly & Matic miss out vs Fulham?

Eric Bailly and Matic started on the bench against Liverpool but are likely to return to the starting line-up this week when Man United take on Fulham in the Premier League.

The manager is expected to heavily rotate his starting line-up on Wednesday to rest a few players meaning a few benchwarmers from the Liverpool game should get a chance to start at Craven Cottage.

Harry Maguire is one game away from suspension which could mean that the England international is rested in midweek with Eric Bailly and Lindelof starting in central defence.
