Rangers brought in Eros Grezda from NK Osijek last summer for a transfer fee of around €2 million. But the winger has found it really hard to settle down in Scotland.

During the 2018-19 season, Eros Grezda has featured in only 13 Premiership games for the Gers scoring just 2 goals and providing 1 assist.

He picked up an ankle injury back in December which kept him out of action for close to four months and when he returned back in April he was sidelined once again with a knee injury.

This had led many people to believe that Steven Gerrard does not want to give the player one more season and he would be looking to offload him during the summer.

And now after all the rumours and gossip, the Teddy Bears boss has finally revealed that Eros Grezda will be moving out of the club.

“I think it has been frustrating for everyone,” Gerrard told The Scotsman.

“He came with an injury and found it very hard to shake that off and come back in a good place.

“He had other niggles and I think he has found the whole game here and demands here tough. He has been honest and open about that.

“But there is still a talent there. I have no doubt he can go to a league, a team and a manager that might suit his style and be a success.”

Rangers are open to listening to bids for the winger and will accept a transfer fee close to €1.5 million – which happens to be the current market value of the player.

The Teddy Bears spent €2 million in order to sign Eros Grezda which was a substantial amount but Gerrard has clearly understood that there is no point in inflating the wage bills but keeping an injury-prone player in his squad.
