Rangers FC have so far made 12 signings during the summer transfer window and their 13th signing is just around the corner.

Steven Gerrard recently lost Jamie Murphy to a long-term injury which will keep him out of action for the rest of the season. But the manager has been quick to respond and has already found a replacement in the form of NK Osijek winger Eros Grezda.

Multiple reports have claimed that both Osijek and Rangers have agreed on a transfer fee and the deal was expected to be wrapped up by Tuesday.

But it’s already Wednesday and Grezda is nowhere close to joining the Light Blues.

So what’s taking the transfer so long?

Well, for starters the deal is not off which is great news for the Gers fans.

According to the Scottish Sun, the transfer is very much on track and Rangers expect to officially announce the player on Wednesday.

Now the only thing that is holding back the deal is the negotiations on the sell-on clause in the deal. It is being reported that the Croatian side wants a 20% sell on percentage while the Premiership outfit are not ready to pay so much.

Once the sell on clause has been sorted out then the Light Blues will waste no time in officially announcing Eros Grezda – subject to work permits of course.

The sell on clause is clearly the final hurdle in the Eros Grezda transfer but pundits feel that this is no reason to panic as the winger will hopefully be wearing the blue of Ibrox by the end of Wednesday.
