Arsenal have drawn against Napoli in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals and the first leg will be played on the 12th of April 2019.

The Gunners have been pitched with one of the toughest sides in the league and Unai Emery’s men will most certainly have to sweat it out in order to move to the next round of the Europa League.

Arsenal have been really poor away from home in the knockout stages as they have lost both their previous away fixtures firs to BATE and recently to Rennes.

But the saving grace for Unai Emery was the fact that in both these encounters the second leg was played at the Emirates which means Arsenal had the chance of rallying in front of their home crowd.

Against Napoli, though the tied has reserved and the Gunners will now have to play the second leg in Italy.

Napoli moved into the quarter-finals after beating Red Bull Salzburg but the Serie A outfit have suffered some major injury setbacks during the second leg of the Europa League clash.

The trio of Lorenzo Insigne, Vlad Chiriches and Amadou Diawara have all picked up injuries during the match and now Napoli have released a statement that they will be out for a significant amount of time.

Insigne who has injured his abductor muscle will be out for three weeks and Chiriches will also be out for the same amount of time due to a thigh injury.

The situation for Diawara is even worse as the club have confirmed that the midfielder is sidelined for a month.

This means Diawara is most certainly ruled out of the Europa League clash vs Arsenal while Insigne and Chiriches are facing a race against time to make themselves fit before the first leg.

Beating Napoli will not be easy for Unai Emery’s men but now that the Italian could miss three key players, the Gunners will be hoping to progress to the semi-finals.
