West Ham United lost their Premier League encounter vs Tottenham Hotspur and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson has chosen some rather harsh words to describe Felipe Anderson’s performance.

The defeat means the Hammers are now 15th on the league table with just 7 points and the pressure on Manuel Pellegrini has not gotten any lighter.

And Phil Thompson chose to blast Felipe Anderson after his poor show against the Lilywhites saying:

“You know who disappointed me? Anderson,

“Thought he was really poor, his set-plays he couldn’t get it more than three foot off the ground and the fans got so angry towards him and the game just drifted away.

“I don’t think he can handle that sort of atmosphere but certainly in the second half, there was nothing wrong with their (West Ham’s) commitment.”

Felipe Anderson joined the Hammers during the summer transfer window for a reported transfer fee of £36 million and the attacking midfielder has so far played in every Premier League game since the start of the season.

But his performances have been anything but consistent.

Felipe Anderson has been a player who has been on and off for Manuel Pellegrini and he is yet to hit that sweet spot in terms of consistency.

There’s no doubt the player has talent having shown such in abundance during his time at Lazio but the Brazilian is yet to shine for the Hammers in the Premier League.
