Gareth Bale Real Madrid FIFA 20

Gareth Bale has been enduring a tough time at Real Madrid ever since he moved to Spain from Tottenham back in 2013.

The Welsh international has always played under the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo but this season was supposed to be his breakout one since Ronaldo had moved to Juventus.

But this campaign too is a very average one for Gareth Bale and some reports suggest that he could be heading back to England during the summer.

The first club that almost everyone would be thinking of is Tottenham Hotspur since the winger gained international recognition with at White Hart Lane.

Gareth Bale joined Spurs in 2007 from Southampton and to everyone he is a Spurs darling.

But now the Welshman has made a claim which could certainly put him in the wrong books of the Lilywhites fans.

During a recent interview, Gareth Bale has claimed that growing up, he used to be watch Arsenal a lot and really liked Thierry Henry.

OUCH.

This statement will certainly not go down too well with the Tottenham fans since one of their most revered sons was actually a supporter of their most famous rivals.

Speaking to BT Sport holding a Henry shirt, Bale said:

“I used to watch Arsenal a lot and I really enjoyed watching people like (Thierry) Henry.

“I used to like watching Dennis Bergkamp as well. They had a great team – Tottenham fans won’t be happy that I am holding this!”

Gareth Bale could have taken any club’s name and the Spurs fans might have forgiven him but now that he has revealed his childhood allegiance with Arsenal it will be interesting to see what happens when Bale comes to play against Tottenham.
