Manchester United take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday and before that Paul Scholes has sent out warnings to Fred and Andreas Pereira.

Both the players badly underperformed during United’s 3-3 draw vs Sheffield United last weekend and according to Scholes, they need to realise that the intensity of the Premier League is a cut above the rest.

‘He [Solskjaer] got seven minutes of a reaction, that was it,’ Schold told BBC 5 Live[as quoted by The Metro].

‘The first hour was probably as bad as you’ve seen. When you go to places like Sheffield United, anywhere away in the Premier League, you have to realise for 20-25 minutes it’s going to be a fight.

‘You’re not just going to be left in possession with the ball. You’re going to be tackled, you’re going to expect challenges.

‘I think as soon as Fred and Pereira realise that it’s not always going to be easy-oozy in a Premier League game away from home the better.

‘If they ever get the chance to play again together they are going to have to improve massively.’

Andreas Pereira has been having on and off performances for Man United all throughout the season which is why the fans are still unsure whether he can be a regular first-team player or not.

But as far as Fred is concerned, the player has improved massively over the last couple of months.

Last season the Brazilian struggled to even make it to the first XI and at the start of this campaign, it seemed like the problems for him would continue until Paul Pogba was ruled out with a long-term injury.

Ever since the Frenchman’s been sidelined, Fred has been getting continuous games for Man United which has amazingly helped the former Shakhtar man regain his confidence. While he’s yet to reach the top level but his growth in recent weeks has proved he can actually be an asset for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the long run.
