Gareth Bale Real Madrid FIFA 20

Gareth Bale has been a flop at Real Madrid ever since he joined them but it finally looks like his misery is about to end.

The Welshman joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2013 for a reported transfer fee of €101 million but somehow, he has never been able to come out of the shadows of Cristiano Ronaldo.

When Ronaldo finally left for Juventus everyone thought Gareth Bale would finally prove his worth but last season, the winger only managed eight goals in the La Liga for Real Madrid.

A number of clubs have been linked with Gareth Bale over the summer but up until now nothing concrete has come up hence everyone assumed he was going nowhere.

But when reporters asked Zinedine Zidane about the player’s absence during Madrid’s pre-season game vs Bayern Munich, the manager made it clear that Gareth Bale was on the verge of an exit.

“Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving,” Zidane said.

“We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.

“I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done, I have to make decisions. We have to change.

“The exit is the coach’s decision, and also of the player, who knows the situation.

“The situation will change, I do not know if in 24 or 48 hours, but it will, and it’s a good thing for everyone.”

This is truly a shocker as many top Premier League clubs have been linked with the winger during the past couple of months.

The likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing the 30-year-old while many claim that if he returns back to England he is more than likely to play for his former club.

Madrid are also in the hunt for Christian Eriksen and experts believe, Zizou might be using Gareth Bale in a swap deal to bring the midfielder to the Bernabeu.

Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for Gareth Bale in the past and there is also a fair possibility that he could try and revive his career in the Bundesliga next season.
