Chelsea have a number of senior pros amongst their squad and the Blues have always had a unique way of dealing with players over 30.

Players like Fabregas, David Luiz and Gary Cahill have all entered the final stages of their contracts and are expected to leave the club by the end of the season.

While Maurizio Sarri has insisted that he wants Cesc Fabregas and David Luiz to stay beyond the summer but the Italian has made it clear that he has no use of Gary Cahill.

Cahill is out of contract at the end of the season and the defender is free to leave the club either this month or during the summer as a free agent.

To be very honest, it will be very difficult for Gary Cahill to find a new club during the middle of the season and even Chelsea understand that.

Hence reports are suggesting that the Blues have allowed Gary Cahill to join Fulham on loan until the end of the season.

Fulham are currently 19th on the Premier League table and more than a good defender, the Cottagers are in desperate need for a leader amongst their ranks and Ranieri believes Gary Cahill can be that man.

The centre-back had an inconsistent season last year due to constant injuries and this year Maurizio Sarri has clearly favoured the duo of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz over the Englishman.

And with just 21 minutes of game time in the Premier League this season, things are not expected to get any better for Gary Cahill if he decides to stay over at Stamford Bridge.
