Steven Gerrard wants Filip Helander at Aston Villa

Rangers FC picked up their second win of the 2018-19 Scottish Premiership season when they beat Dundee 4-0 at home this weekend.

The Light Blues scored four goals on the night courtesy of four different players and the manager was delighted that the goalscoring burden was divided amongst his players instead of piling everything on Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos.

While everyone thought that Steven Gerrard will be pleased with his player’s performance against Dundee but the manager chose to be critical claiming his team could play even better.

The manager compared his team’s performance with a game of basketball and in doing so he said:

“I just us want to be consistent and strong. I just thought first half I was watching a game of basketball – that’s not how I want it.”

While many people are confused by this statement from Gerrard but the players will get a clear indication as to what they need to do in order to please his manager.

The game was completely end-to-end during the first 45 minutes and the Light Blues were lucky come out of that half without conceding a goal.

And the manager was clearly not happy with his team’s weak defence during the Dundee game and he will be hoping that his first XI do not repeat the same mistake when they take on Villarreal this Thursday in the Europa League.
