Major EPL clubs put on high alert as 27 Y/O world-class forward wants a summer exit: Where he headed to?

Harry Kane has been the driving force behind Spurs’ growth over the past few seasons but it looks like his time at the club is finally coming to an end.

The forward has been a prolific goalscorer for Tottenham this campaign, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 Premier League matches. But with no Champions League football available at the club next season, the England international looks set for a new challenge.

Sky Sports News reporter Paul Gilmour said: “It’s been no secret that Harry Kane has wanted to compete for the top honours, both as a team and individually. It’s been a frustrating season for him personally. It hasn’t happened for Spurs with Champions League qualification. It will be a second season that he hasn’t had that.

“He is valued at well over £120m, probably and the rest, if Spurs and Daniel Levy have anything to say about it because let’s face it, the ball is in their court.

“He has a contract until 2024 and they will certainly, if somehow, they do agree to this, they will want to get their money’s worth, of course.

“But we have been told Tottenham managed to persuade Kane to stay last summer when one English club came in for him, and they said to him they had Jose Mourinho for a full season, give it a go and let’s see what happens. And clearly, as the season has gone on, it did not happen for Spurs and Mourinho has since left the club.

“Harry Kane has had a brilliant season under Mourinho personally, but as a team, they are not going to qualify for the Champions League. The chances are very slim.

“The season hasn’t gone to plan and as the season developed, those feelings of wanting something else and wanting to move away have come to the forefront.”

Clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with Harry Kane over the past couple of months and if the forward is indeed available in the market then there could be a major transfer battle in the summer window.

Kane is likely to decide his future after the Euros but chances are he will choose Manchester City over the other suitors if he wants guaranteed silverwares next season.

Man United and Chelsea are still in the rebuilding phase and might take a few more years before they can actually compete with the big boys of Europe on a regular basis. Manchester City, on the other hand, are a well-oiled machine under Pep Guardiola and with Sergio Aguero leaving at the end of this season, Harry Kane will slot right in.

But, all said and done, the strings of the transfer lie with Daniel Levy and the Spurs chairman is not going to let Harry Kane leave until the club pockets an enormous transfer fee.
