Brendan Rodgers Leicester City vs Man United

Brendan Rodgers left Celtic to join Premier League side Leicester City a couple of weeks ago.

And since, Rodgers has been subject to constant hatred from the Bhoys faithful.

After leaving the club, Brendan Rodgers said: “Celtic supporters will hurt and I will understand how they feel.

“They are hurt and maybe a little bit worried in terms of what maybe happened with me leaving, but what also gave me comfort is also knowing that what we put in place there in the nearly three years is going to stabilise the club for many years going forward.”

These words though have done very little to calm down the storm and by the looks of it, the Celtic fans’ hatred for Brendan Rodgers is going to ease down any time soon.

Even some pundits have claimed that Brendan Rodgers actually made the wrong choice to leave Celtic during the middle of the season.

But former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has chosen to stand by the new Leicester boss.

He told the Express(as reported): “He did his job there, he did his job brilliantly at Celtic, he’s entitled to leave if another club comes in for him.

“You want to manage in the Premier League, no disrespect to the Scottish Premiership but it doesn’t compare to the Premier League

“He’s taken on a good club who have money to spend and they’ve got a decent team, it’s a great move for Brendan.

“He did his job at Celtic just fine.”
