Arsenal had been in a dismal run of form over the past few months but after picking up three wins on the trot, the Gunners finally seem to have found their mojo.

Their latest win came against West Brom this weekend in the Premier League as they scored four goals past Sam Allardyce’s men and speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta was quick to point out the fact that all of his players were finally shouldering the burden of scoring goals.

“I keep saying that we cannot put on Auba the whole weight on his shoulders to score the goals,” the Arsenal boss said, as reported.

“We need contributions. Midfielders have to score more goals, needs to give more assists and we need goals from our wingers as well.

“Auba has some chances today he could have scored the same in the last game or so. I am so pleased because I thought in the final third we looked lively.

“There is a lot of movement, there is good energy, there is a real purpose, everybody’s playing forward.

“It’s like we are freer to play there. And The understanding is coming to generate a lot of things there.”

Arsenal have managed to win just seven matches in the Premier League so far this season and three of them have come in the past week and a half. The three points vs West Brom helped the Gunners climb to 11th on the league table and right now they are just six points away from the top-four.

The North London side take on Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton in their next three league games and if they can pick up wins in all these matches then Arteta’s men have a definitive chance of challenging for a Champions League spot next campaign.

Also picking up maximum points from these games should the biggest target for Mikel Arteta since they take on the likes of Manchester United, Wolves and Aston Villa after that. And there’s every chance that Arsenal might drop points during these outings.
