Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from the loss to Manchester United by beating Brighton in midweek and next up, Spurs take on West Ham United in the Premier League.

Spurs and West Ham United are both fighting for the final Champions League spot so a win for Conte’s side would effectively throw the Hammers out of the top-four race.

Both the sides are tied on points at the moment but the Lilywhites have played one game less. Conte’s side have struggled for consistency this season so it’s really hard to predict what kind of performance they will come up with on Sunday.

We expect this tie to be a very tight affair because West Ham United have been in great form this season and since they have just won an intense Europa League tie, David Moyes’ side will be really high in confidence.

Tottenham need to pick up a win at any cost or else it will be next to impossible for them to catch up with Arsenal in the race for a Champions League spot. All eyes will be on Conte to see how he sets up his side to counter Moyes’ tactics.

Spurs team news and injury updates:

The manager laid down the importance of Cristian Romero after his top-class performance against Brighton and there’s no way the Spurs boss will change his defensive personnel on Sunday.

Conte said in his press conference: “Cristian is a player who has to be focused in every moment of a game. If he’s good, he’s focused from the start, from the first to last second of the game and he’s a really important player for us.

“He has a bit to improve in this situation, to be focused on every moment of the game. Sometimes he gets a yellow card he can avoid. He has to improve in this aspect, to be focused from the start to the end.

“Sometimes you can’t explain this in a good manner – you have to shout! But he’s a good guy and he understands that what I do is always best for the team and himself.

“He has quality to be a great defender so it’s important to find the right way to improve the player.”

Spurs have three injury concerns going into this weekend’s match and amongst them, Japhet Tanganga is out for the rest of the season.

Oliver Skipp and Sessegnon are the other two injured players, and as per the manager, both of them are going to miss out on Sunday.

“About Skippy, I hope to have him after the international break,” Conte has updated. “His pain is getting better and better.

“About Ryan [Sessegnon], we’re waiting for weeks to have another scan and then if everything is OK he’ll restart training sessions with us.”

With Sessegnon out injured, Reguilon will continue as the left wing-back while Doherty operates on the other side.

Harry Winks has massively fallen down the pecking order ever since Bentancur joined Spurs in January and he along with Hojbjerg will pair up in central midfield while the forward line will also remain unchanged.

Spurs predicted line up vs West Ham United:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-4-3): Hugo Lloris; Romero, Dier, Ben Davies; Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Reguilon, Doherty; Son, Harry Kane, Kulusevski.
