The 2018 FIFA World Cup final had a curtain call on Sunday with France lifting the trophy after 20 years on a rain-soaked night in Moscow.
While most of the pundits thought that the match between France and Croatia would be an evenly matched affair but France made it look like a cakewalk – beating Croatia 4-2.
The game saw a lot of historic moments like an own goal from Mario Mandzukic to Kylian Mbappe becoming the youngest player to score a World Cup final since the legendary Pele.
But one very unusual moment was a second-half pitch invasion from a group of people which brought a minor break into the match.
The invaders though could not create too much of a problem as the authorities immediately caught hold of them and took them outside.
A lot of fans watching the incident wondered how such an incident could take place especially when the World Cup is being held in Russia.
But shortly after the incident, the Pussy Riot group took responsibility for the invasion.
If you didn’t know already then the Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist protest punk rock group based in Moscow.
But that is not our biggest concern.
When the invaders were running onto the pitch two very distinct incident happened and we want to bring your attention to those.
The first is how Dejan Lovren handled one of the pitch invaders – by viciously dragging him into the ground after which an official came and took the matters into his own hand.

And we don’t particularly blame Dejan Lovren since this is how most footballers would react especially when their team is chasing a game.
But the second series of pictures which have won our hearts show how French teenager Kylian Mbappe handed one such pitch invader.
See for yourself.
Mbappe giving the double high five to Pussy Riot is easily the best image from World Cup 2018. This needs to be some kind of memorial: pic.twitter.com/bSthENiAL4
