Tottenham Hotspur were supposed to move into the new White Hart Lane at the start of this season.
But up until now, there have been numerous delays.
Initially, it was announced that the Lilywhites would be moving into the new White Hart Lane in September but that date kept being pushed backwards and once again the club has just confirmed a new date.
Spurs have claimed that the new stadium will hold its first competitive match in the first week of April.
And there’s a very big chance that the new White Hart Lane could be inaugurated during the FA Cup.
But according to talkSPORT host Luke Moore, Tottenham Hotspur should not be allowed to play inside their new home stadium this season.
Here’s why:
Speaking on talkSPORT, Moore said: “We have to understand, regardless of our club’s affiliation and the teams we support, that the integrity of the competitions we are playing in is the most important thing.
“I’ve not heard a decent argument against it. I do think they should have had to wait.
I do think they should have been given a bit of a grace period and said ‘look it’s a big project and there’s unforeseen problems’ so there would be a grace period.
“But this has been farcical. It has been going on for far too long and I don’t think they should be allowed to do it.”
Also, there had been news floating around that the new White Hart Lane will be called ‘The Nike Stadium’ after presenter Richard Keys claimed so on beIN Sports.
But now reports are suggesting that Spurs have no intention of calling White Hart Lane the Nike Stadium – well, not atleast right now.
