Tottenham Hotspur will take on Liverpool this Saturday in the Premier League and as things stand both Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli have been ruled out of the fixture due to injuries.

Hugo Lloris is currently sidelined with a thigh injury and he was doubtful for the game but the real shocker is the absence of Dele Alli as everyone knew the England International will recover in time to take on Liverpool.

But Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that both Lloris and Dele Alli will miss the Liverpool game.

Speaking to the press Pochettino revealed“Alli is a bit unlucky, he suffered a small injury after 20 minutes against Spain,

“We are disappointed because we’re going to miss him for this game and possibly Inter Milan in the Champions League, but it is not a big issue.

“Lloris will have another scan to see the evolution of his injury. Hopefully, it will be OK and he will be available again soon like Dele Alli.”

The absence of Alli means that Pochettino will have to reshuffle his midfield entirely and hope that the likes of Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier can take on that added attacking responsibility.

We could also see the return of Son Heung-Min to the starting lineup in order to fulfil the void of Dele Alli which will be a big risk since the South Korean has just returned from international duty.

The replacement of Hugo Lloris will be simple as backup keeper Michel Vorm will take his place in the starting line-up but given that he will be facing the likes of Salah and Mane, Pochettino will have to keep his fingers crossed and hope Vorm will come good on Saturday.
