Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be moving out of Arsenal this summer and if that happens then the Gunners could be in a world of trouble.

That’s according to club legend Thierry Henry who’s predicted that Arsenal cannot afford to lose a top goal-scorer like him but at the same time, they can do very little to stop the forward from heading to greener pastures.

“Everyone will do whatever they have to do,” Henry told Sky Sports, as quoted. “How am I going to say to someone to stay when I left?

“As an Arsenal fan you want them to stay but, as a football player, he will assess the situation with his family, with his dad, and see what’s best for them.

“If you’re an Arsenal man you don’t want him to leave but also the guy has a career and I don’t know what’s in his head.

“We are definitely going to miss his goals if he does leave. If you take the goals of Aubameyang away it’s a tough one.”

Will Arsenal slump if Aubameyang leaves the club?

Aubameyang has scored 17 goals in just 26 Premier League goals this season and there’s no denying he’s been the one who’s helped Arsenal keep their top-four hopes still alive.

So clearly he will be a massive miss for Mikel Arteta but the Gunners cannot afford to pay his huge wage demands especially when they also have Mesut Ozil amongst their ranks.

Ozil is currently the highest earner in the side and Arsenal can only afford to pay Aubameyang a massive package if the German is sold during the summer.

Some reports have claimed Aubameyang could shelve his plans of heading out and agree to the new deal at the Emirates but if the North London club cannot secure a Champions League spot for the upcoming season, then it will be really difficult for the Gunners to hold onto him.
