Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Olivier Giroud and Jan Vertonghen during the summer transfer window – as per the latest reports.

Giroud has been way down the pecking order at Chelsea this season having played in just nine Premier League games so far and most of these appearances have come in the last few months due to the injury to Tammy Abraham.

And this isn’t the first time that Giroud has been linked with a move to the Serie A club as he was close to joining them at the start of the current year.

But eventually, the move fell apart since Chelsea could not sign a new striker meaning Frank Lampard had to stop Olivier Giroud from moving out.

The 33-year-old is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer and the Blues will surely not hand him a new deal meaning the World Cup winner looks all set to head to Italy for the upcoming season.

Inter are expected to lose Lautaro Martinez at the end of this season and if this happens then Olivier Giroud will surely be the perfect backup to Romelu Lukaku.

Jan Vertonghen like Giroud is also set to be a free agent this summer and despite interest from the likes of Napoli and Roma, the 32-year-old looks set to join Antonio Conte’s side.

The Spurs defender has not played too many games for the club this season and he is on the wrong side of his professional career too. But all said and done if Inter can add the former Ajax man to their ranks, then he will surely add that much-needed experience at the back.

Both Chelsea and Spurs are not going to offer these players new deals in the summer meaning all Conte has to do is convince them to commit their future to Inter Milan.
