Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard in the summer but now it seems they could miss out on him.

Jesse Lingard has been really poor for the Red Devils during the 2019-20 season having scored just two goals in 35 games across all competitions.

And if this was not enough, the player had an off the field clash with his manager following which Solskajer had some strong words to say against the England international.

‘That has been dealt with internally,’ Solskjaer had said.

‘I am old-school, old-fashioned, quite big on discipline and self-discipline. I can’t spoon-feed these players, they have got to do it themselves.

‘I have had many years at this club and I have seen which players have been successful. You have got to be a strong character to play here. It is not like I can tell them to pass from A to B, to C to D. They have to make their own decisions, and in life as well.’

Following this, Jesse Lingard chose to tie up with super-agent Mino Raiola which was a clear hint that he wanted to move out of the club at the end of the season.

Right now the likes of Arsenal and Everton have been linked with the 27-year-old but it seems like Lingard has no intentions of abandoning Manchester United.

As per the report, the player wants to stay at OT and fight for his place instead of trying to make a move out in the summer.

Jesse Lingard has one more year left on his current deal but United have the option of increasing it further by one year meaning the club are right now in no hurry to sell him off.

But some experts feel Ole wants to gather funds for his incoming players in the summer which is why the Norwegian is looking to sell off some players and right now Jesse Lingard happens to be on that ill-fated list.

So while the player clearly wants to resurrect his career at Man United, the club might very choose to sell him off and valued at around 30 million pounds he will be the perfect buy for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
