Emerson Chelsea

Juventus have secured the signing of Alvaro Morata and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Turin based outfit could now shift their focus to Chelsea’s unwanted left-back Emerson.

The report claims: “If with Morata, Juventus settles the numerical emergency in attack, now it is the sales and any changes that affect the Juventus management.

“The first point concerns the defensive winger: Pellegrini is close to Genoa, but the permanence of De Sciglio is not yet certain, to whom Pirlo preferred Frabotta in the debut match against Sampdoria.

“In the event of the departure of the former Milan, the name of Emerson Palmieri of Chelsea could become current, which could open up to a loan sale with the right of redemption for the Italian Brazilian.”

Will the Blues let Emerson join Juventus?

Chelsea have managed to bring in Ben Chilwell from Leicester City during the ongoing transfer window but the left-back is currently out injured.

The England international will take a couple of more weeks to get back to full fitness but with Marcos Alonso still capable of playing regularly for the starting XI, we don’t think Lampard will create too much of a fuss in letting Emerson leave.

The loan deal(if that eventually happens) will surely have an obligation to buy at the end of the 2020/21 season, so in that way, Chelsea will be able to recover a large chunk of the transfer fee which they have spent in signing Ben Chilwell.

Alex Sandro is currently out injured for Juventus while Mattia De Sciglio is not particularly a favourite of manager Andre Pirlo. So we expect the Serie A outfit to make a move for Emerson pretty soon.

Having said this, Chelsea take on Barnsley in the EFL Cup on Wednesday and we expect Emerson to get a start on the left-hand side(primarily because of squad rotation).
