Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been a standout figure for the club since the resumption of the Premier League after lockdown.

And recently, he had made it clear that if he does not get adequate game time next season then he will not hesitate about heading out this ongoing transfer window.

“I showed that I can play, I need to play more games next season,” he told Continental 590, via Football London.

“I want to establish myself at Arsenal and become first choice. If I don’t play, I’m going to move, I’m going to go where I play more.”

With Bernd Leno out injured, Emiliano Martinez got a lot of playing time under Mikel Arteta but since the German will be fit to start next season, Martinez has hinted that he could move out of the Emirates with a number of clubs already wanting to sign him up.

“I am in the sights of 10 teams in Europe,” he told the Argentine edition of Marca. “But I cannot say who those clubs are, because it is nothing concrete.

“I still do not have the clear situation with Arsenal, when I have it on my return, I will make the best decision for my career.”

Initially, Leno was supposed to be out for a really long time but now the keeper is expected to be fully fit by the end of this month.

And this would mean that if Emiliano Martinez sticks around then he will once again be warming the benches next season.

While Mikel Arteta will love to hold onto him beyond the summer but we are sure the manager cannot guarantee him first-team football which is why Arteta should allow him to leave before the 2020-21 campaign kicks off(if a good enough offer comes by).

The 27-year-old has been with Arsenal for almost a decade and his current deal with the North London side expires in the summer of 2022.
