Joe Hart to Celtic FC

Celtic FC have reportedly open talks with Burnley’s 33-year-old goal-keeper Joe Hart as Neil Lennon looks to bring in a new shot-stopper before the new season begins.

The keeper joined Burnley from Man City in 2018 but his deal with the Premier League club expires at the end of this season. And as per Record Sport, the Bhoys are eager to sign him up.

The report claims: “Celtic have made a sensational move to land England keeper Joe Hart.

“Record Sport understands Parkhead chiefs have already made contact with the former Manchester City shot stop

“The 33-year-old has been told he won’t be offered a new deal at Turf Moor after falling behind Nick Pope in the pecking order.

“Neil Lennon is keen to explore the option of landing his former Three Lions teammate Hart and talks are already underway.”

Have Celtic given up on Fraser Forster?

The report makes it clear that Fraser Forster still remains Lennon’s first-choice target but with each passing day, it seems like getting their hands on the Southampton keeper is becoming more and more difficult.

The Saints want around 10 million pounds for Forster and the Bhoys are clearly not too keen to spend so much money on a single player this summer.

If Southampton do decide to bring down their asking price then Lennon will obviously reignite his interest in the 32-year-old but as things stand right now, the Parkhead outfit have set their sights on Joe Hart who will be a free agent in some time.
