Kylian Mbappe PSG vs Man City
Kylian Mbappe - PSG

Kylian Mbappe is the next big thing in world football.

The above statement is something that no one can deny.

The 19-year-old is already setting the world on fire and he has just about cleared the legal drinking age in France.

Kylian Mbappe moved to PSG from Monaco last summer and the youngster was supposed to be the right-hand man to another summer signing – Neymar.

But after just a single season in Paris and Kylian Mbappe is already become the centrepiece at PSG. And now one of his teammates feels that the forward is very similar to a young Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappe’s France teammate Antoine Griezmann feels the youngster need to get his act sorted in front of goal and then he too can score goals for fun just like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Talking about Kylian Mbappe, Griezmann said: ‘Kylian reminds me of Cristiano when he was in Manchester,

‘Cristiano was the guy out wide, doing a lot of dribbling and occasionally scoring. He was not looking for goals, though.

‘When Kylian does what Cristiano did in Madrid, thinking only about scoring, then he will do the same. He will be scoring 50 goals per season.

‘In front of goal in training, Kylian is not all that.

‘I tease him often — I ask him how he manages to score so many goals. When we do finishing drills, he never wins. As soon as he changes that, though, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

‘Kylian has to want to go and score — the goal that he scored against Liverpool came from the middle.

‘I messaged him afterwards and said: “You need to call for the ball closer to the goal. If we do not give you the ball, you need to lose the guy. You must get on the ball in the middle.”‘

Cristiano Ronaldo was obviously the best in England while he was playing for Manchester United but his goal scoring tally really shot up once he joined Real Madrid just before the turn of the decade.

But thankfully Kylian Mbappe is already playing in a league and for a team which plays the brand of attacking football.

And given that Kylian Mbappe is just 19 years old, we wouldn’t put anything beyond the reaches of this young man.
