Mikel Arteta has managed to keep a 100 per cent winning streak going during the 2020/21 season so far and according to pundit Gary Neville, the Arsenal boss is hitting all the right chords.

“I think Mikel Arteta is punching above his weight,” said Neville on his podcast.

“He is going above and beyond the players he has. The shape and the organisation, things we have criticised Arsenal for in the past, is good.

“They are not finishing in the top four like Arsene Wenger used to get criticised for but they look like a team which is more cohesive. It has continued from the end of last season and he is doing a great job.

“I just think Mikel Arteta would love that £150 million that Frank Lampard has got this summer.”

Is Mikel Arteta going to be the man for Arsenal?

Under Mikel Arteta, the progress has been slow but there’s no denying that the Gunners have moved a fair bit forward from where they were under Unai Emery.

Mikel Arteta recently guided Arsenal to an FA Cup win against Chelsea and him along with the likes of Edu have been able to bring in some pretty fine signings during the ongoing transfer window.

Arsene Wenger in his final years at Arsenal was just trying to keep the club in the top-four and this season, Arteta will also have a very similar goal. But in the long-run, the Spanish boss is truly trying to turn the Gunners into an invincible side.

Arsenal’s first two wins in the Premier League have come against relatively easier oppositions but their next couple of matches could very well dictate their fortunes for the rest of the season as they will face the likes of Leicester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Manchester City over the course of the next month.
