Liverpool were beaten 3-0 at the Camp Nou last week in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals by Barcelona.

And this week, the Reds welcome, Lionel Messi and co at Anfield for the second leg.

While the scoreline would suggest that Barcelona were absolutely dominant during the first leg but Liverpool were, in fact, one of the few clubs who had actually managed to give Valverde’s side a scare at home this season.

Ultimately it was Lionel Messi who turned out to be the difference between both the sides but down at Anfield, everyone is hoping that Van Dijk and co will do more to stop the Argentine from dominating the game.

While Liverpool will have one eye surely on Messi but Klopp will undoubtedly be focused on his attacking players more so since a couple of them could be missing during the second leg.

The first and the most obvious one is Mo Salah who picked up a head injury during Liverpool’s win vs Newcastle United this past weekend and had to be stretchered off the pitch.

Speaking after the game, Klopp did claim that Mo Salah was in much better shape after the match.

“He got the hip of the goalie in his head and then was on the ground,” said the Liverpool boss.

“The doctor had to make a decision – on the pitch or off the pitch – and the decision was off the pitch and we accept that of course.

“When we came in, he was sitting in the dressing room and watching the game or had watched the game.

“He was then fine but of course we have to wait. He got a proper knock in that situation.”

But there are a few reports which are claiming that the Liverpool doctors might not let the manager risk Mo Salah during the Barcelona game given that it was a head injury.

Mo Salah missed a great chance to score an away goal at Camp Nou last week and now if the rumours hold true then the Egyptian might very well be watching the match from the stands on Tuesday.

While the availability of Mo Salah will only be known on Tuesday but the Liverpool boss has made it clear that Roberto Firmino will not be fit to face Barcelona during the second leg.

“No, he will not be ready for Tuesday and the rest (of the season) we will see,” Klopp added about Roberto Firmino.

This means that Daniel Sturridge will once again play as the striker for Liverpool on Tuesday.
