England will play their first game of the FIFA World Cup 2018 on Monday 18th of June when they take on Tunisia in their first Group encounter.
Before the match, every England fan is scratching their head thinking of the first XI that manager Gareth Southgate might field during the tournament in Russia.
And things got more complicated when Southgate chose to field his second fiddle players during the Three Lions’ previous warm-up game against Cost Rica and players like Marcus Rashford and Ruben Loftus-Cheek came out with flying colours.
When everyone is trying to figure out England’s predicted XI vs Tunisia, British publication Sun have gone onto claim that they have gotten hold of what seems to be England’s first eleven during their group encounter in the World Cup.
Yes, the Sun are claiming so.
But then, it’s a report which needs to go out to the fans, “in case” the Sun have gotten it right this time.
So here goes:
England’s predicted XI for the World Cup:
Goalkeeper: Pickford.
Defenders: Walker, Stones, Maguire.
Midfielders: Tripper, Henderson, Rose, Alli, Lingard.
Forwards: Sterling, Kane.
So the Sun are of the view that players like Marcus Rashford, Loftus-Cheek and Fabian Delph who all had wonderful outings against Costa Rica during England’s last warm-up game will not make it to the squad.
Well, there’s only one way to find out and that is when Gareth Southgate names his playing Xi vs Tunisia.
