Wilfred Ndidi has been a steady figure in Leicester City’s midfield but the player could be on his way out in the summer – as per rumours.
The player was brought in as a replacement to N’Golo Kante in 2017 from Genk and this season the 23-year-old has featured in 23 Premier League matches for the Foxes.
And according to former Nigeria international Joseph Dosu, Wilfred Ndidi will go one step up in his playing career if he was to join North London side Arsenal during the upcoming summer transfer window.
“Ndidi is a workaholic player. He has been exceptional and has been playing very well since he signed for Leicester City,” the former goalkeeper told Goal.
“If he moves to Arsenal it will be good and I have no doubt he will do so well there. If they want him it will really be good for his career.
“Arsenal have a lot of fans here in Nigeria and Africa, so it will be a great move for him.”
Do Arsenal want Wilfred Ndidi in the summer?
Wilfred Ndidi has been a rock-solid performer for Leicester over the past couple of seasons and given that he still has four years left on his current deal, the Foxes are in no hurry to sell him off.
But Arsenal could certainly use a defensive midfielder like him as a replacement to ever-poor Granit Xhaka.

Xhaka has been the first-choice defensive midfielder for the Gunners this season and the Swiss international has been really puny for the first XI.
Arteta does have players like Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira as backups but both of them have been highly disappointing as well which is why the Gunners manager is keen to add a new defensive midfielder in the summer.
Ndidi has been a great show for Leicester City and can really pull the standard of Arsenal’s midfield in case he was to join them. But what remains to be seen is if the North London side are willing to splash out a major sum of money to bring in the Nigerian international for the upcoming season, especially when they have other areas to sort out as well.
