West Ham United defender Issa Diop has thanked Man United manager Jose Mourinho for his words.

Issa Diop joined West Ham during the summer from Toulouse on a five-year contract and even though his transfer fee was not announced by the club but the Hammers did confirm that it was a club record.

This meant that West Ham had paid a fee for Issa Diop which was even higher than that of Marko Arnautovic.




And the player who comes which such a hefty price tag should be of some quality.




The centre-back now has been showing just how talented he is after his superb display against Manchester United two weeks ago.

The Hammers came out 3-1 winners in that game and after the match, the first person to praise Issa Diop was United boss Jose Mourinho.




Mourinho called the defender a monster at the back for the Hammers and he also went on praise the scout who found him for the club.

And now talking to the French media, Issa Diop has thanked Jose Mourinho for his kind words.








Issa Diop said“Honestly, yes it’s nice but hey, he’s not my coach so that’s it,

“I keep my head on my shoulders and I stay myself,




After coming from the international break, Issa Diop will have another challenge on his hands as he will be expected to stop Tottenham Hotspurs’s front men when both the teams meet on the 20th of October at the London Stadium.
