Ivan Rakitic racism comments

Manchester United have been drawn against FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.

And the first leg of the tie will be played on Wednesday at Old Trafford.

United pulled off a victory during the second leg of the previous round which knocked out PSG from the competition.

And once the final whistle was blown no one could really believe the fact that Parisian had once again bottled it in the knockout stages.

Having said that though, no one really expects Barcelona to give any kind of favours to Man United either at Old Trafford or back in Spain but speaking before the clash Ivan Rakitic has pointed out a certain strength about their rivals.

“You have to know your best side,” Ivan Rakitic told GQ.

“And the new Man United manager seems to know that.

“If you have to fight a bit more or play counterattacking then you do what is best.

“A lot of teams would like to play like Barcelona and have possession. But if you have possession and you lose the game finally, then it’s for nothing and I would not be happy.”

And Ivan Rakitic seems to have hit the nail on the head.

Solskjaer has made his strategy pretty clear. His first and most obvious one is to attack from the very first minute against weaker teams.

But against big names, Solskjaer sets up his players to sit back and absorb the pressure and hit their opponents on the counter.

And there are no prizes for guessing that on Wednesday will be seeing the second tactic in full swing at Old Trafford.
