Chelsea are interested in making a move for Borussia Dortmund’s youngster Jadon Sancho who also happens to be on Manchester United’s wishlist – according to the Daily Express
Jadon Sancho moved to the Bundesliga from Manchester City three years ago and right now the winger is one of the most talked-about youngsters not only in Europe but also across world football.
So far during the 2019-20 season, Sancho has netted 14 and assisted 16 goals in just 23 league matches and there’s a huge buzz that Manchester United are currently the frontrunners to sign him during the upcoming transfer window.
But now as per the Daily Express, Chelsea seem to have joined the race since they feel they can gather the necessary funds to make a move for the 20-year-old.
As per the report, Chelsea are confident of selling outcasts Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata for a combined fee of around £80million and the Blues are planning to use this same money to bid for Jadon Sancho.
Will Jadon Sancho choose Chelsea over Man United?
Dortmund will obviously like to sell their winger to the highest bidder but we feel Jadon Sancho is not going to choose a move to Chelsea over Manchester United.
The first big reason is that Sancho has shown his appreciation for the Red Devils, a number of times in the past and some rumours also claim that he has already had a verbal agreement with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Another major reason why the England international is likely to snub a move to Chelsea in the summer is because of Hakim Ziyech.
The Blues have signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and just like Jadon Sancho, the Moroccon also operates on the right-wing meaning if the Dortmund man moves to Stamford Bridge, he will have to prove his worth to Frank Lampard.
And with the kind of price tag that Sancho has on him right now, he will have to be a regular in each and every game for his new side next season.
So Chelsea might be able to gather the funds to try and make a formal offer for the Dortmund sensation but we think the London club will not even get close to agreeing on a deal for Jadon Sancho.
