Chelsea brought in Jorginho from Napoli thinking the pass-master would be an instant hit in the Premier League.
But last season, the midfielder turned out to be a massive flop under Maurizio Sarri and many believed that new manager Frank Lampard would not be using him so extensively this campaign.
While Jorginho is yet to replicate his heroics from his days at Napoli but his performances have gotten better with time and right now he is the defensive midfielder of choice for Chelsea.
The 28-year-old has so far played in 28 games for the Blues in the Premier League having scored four goals but there have been reports that former boss Maurizio Sarri wants to bring Jorginho to Juventus at the end of the season.
And just when the experts were weighing in these rumours, Jorginho’s agent has hinted that a move out of Chelsea during the summer is still very much on the table.
Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb as quoted by Metro: ‘Why not?
‘I am sure that some important proposals will come, which we would obviously evaluate together with Chelsea.
‘Even personally, he is doing very well at Chelsea, and I am sure that some important proposals will come because in his role there are not many high-level players like him around.
‘His goal is the Europeans with the national team.
‘There are many expectations around [Roberto] Mancini’s team. The European Championship is also a good showcase.’
While some might think the exit of Jorginho might be a bad thing for Chelsea but if the midfielder leaves then it could be a blessing in disguise for N’Golo Kante who might finally get his preferred defensive midfielder’s role back.
