It’s just been a couple of days since the summer transfer window opened up and Manchester United have already shown that they mean business.

The Red Devils have so far made two signings in the form of midfielder Fred and full-back Diogo Dolot. And if reports are to believed then Jose Mourinho has already set his eyes on his third target.

Manchester United are reportedly planning a move for West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic and Jose Mourinho is personally making sure that the deal goes through.

According to Austrian outlet Osterreich has been in contact with Arnautovic’s brother and agent Danijel via text messages.

Jose Mourinho was recently spotted during an Austrian national football team’s match and everyone believed that the United boss was there to observe Marko Arnautovic.

When the 29-year-old was asked about Manchester United’s interest in signing him up, the forward chose to avoid the question by giving a very diplomatic answer.

Arnautovic said: “It’s nice to hear, I haven’t heard anything from my brother, my agent,

“You can keep asking this question but you’ll never hear the answer from me.”

The forward joined West Ham United last summer for a club record fee of £20 million and within one season the 29-year-old has managed to make such an impact that it has caught the eye of Jose Mourinho.

Arnautovic’s current contract with the hammers end in June of 2022 but multiple media houses in England believe if Manchester United come calling then it would be hard for the forward to turn them down.

So as things stand, it is clearly up to West Ham United, whether they wish to part ways with Arnautovic or not.
