Manchester United lost their previous Premier League encounter against Liverpool 3-1 – a disaster which resulted in the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils were humiliated by Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield as Romelu Lukaku and co managed only six shots on target during the game as compared to 36 shots for Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho was sacked on Tuesday morning and immediately after the sacking, a few keen-eyed fans noticed something uncanny in the relationship between Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp.

As it stands, Jurgen Klopp has played a big part in the sacking of Mourinho during his last three jobs.

The first blow came way back in 2013 when Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund beat Mourinho’s Real Madrid 4-1 in the Champions League shortly after which, the Portuguese was sacked by Florentino Perez.

The second one came two years later in 2015 when Jurgen Klopp had moved to England and Mourinho was back to managing Chelsea.

Klopp’s Liverpool side beat Chelsea 3-1 which started the downfall of Mourinho and finally ended his time at Stamford Bridge in December of 2015.

And for a third time, Jurgen Klopp has played a key part in Jose Mourinho losing his job.

Manchester United have announced that Ole Solskjaer will be the caretaker manager until the club can find a suitable replacement.

While Mourinho will now take a break from football and focus on his next job, Jurgen Klopp is flying high with Liverpool and they look all set to win the Premier League title.
