Midfielder Kai Havertz is being chased by Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea and recently Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Voller had admitted that the 21-year-old could be on his way out.

Havertz is one of the most talked-about youngsters in world football right now and this season he has already scored 12 goals and provided six assists in just 30 matches for Leverkusen.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Voller said, as per Sports Lens: “We have an agreement – if it fits, he can go this summer.

“As of now, he is a player of ours. We have our ideas, we know what he can do.

“I personally hope he stays one more year. Of course, you can’t force anyone. Havertz knows what he owes to his colleagues, the fans and the club.”

Kai Havertz coming to the Premier League?

This statement was a huge boost for both Man United and Chelsea but it looks like the Blues have already set the ball rolling in the signing of the German international.

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, Chelsea have already started talks with the player’s agent and the London club are willing to offer him a massive deal.

He wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea want Kai Havertz and are in talks with his agent. Blues are ready to offer 5-year contract (€8M/year) and in the next days will open talks with Bayer Leverkusen. At the moment Marina Granovskaia lead the race for the german player.”

It’s pretty clear that Chelsea are wasting no time in trying to sign Kai Havertz while Man United maybe are still trying to bring in Jack Grealish.

Many rumours claim that Villa’s Jack Grealish is one of Solskjaer’s transfer priorities this summer and if this move fails, only then will he shift his focus to Kai Havertz.

But with the speed at which Chelsea are moving, they might wrap up the signing of the 21-year-old long before Grealish makes up his mind.
