Serie A legend claims ‘this’ Celtic youngster can become the next big thing amidst heavy transfer rumours

Celtic have wrapped up the 2018-19 Premiership season in style but now they enter a really busy summer transfer window.

With Brendan Rodgers leaving the club back in February there are rumours that a number of players might just head for the exit doors at the end of the season.

And of those players might be youngster Kieran Tierney.

Kieran Tierney is currently one of the hottest left-backs in European football and a number of top clubs have shown interest in signing him.

It has also been reported that Brendan Rodgers might want to sign Kieran Tierney for his new club Leicester City.

Now though, Ex Italy international Salvatore Bagnin has claimed that the 21-year-old will be a perfect signing for Serie A side Napoli.

He told the Sunday Post(as reported): “Having followed the player for years, I think Tierney would be a great buy for Napoli, and wouldn’t be surprised if a deal was to happen.

“Napoli are a team which is always associated with attacking football, and Ancelotti’s first thought is to send his players out to get goals.

“In particular, he loves full-backs whose main strength lies in going forward.

“In this regard, Tierney would be perfect for their left side.

“He has it all. Great drive, pace, technique and high-quality delivery,

“For me, those assets would allow him to do well in Naples – and if he comes to Italy, I will be able to say I was among the first to focus on him.”

Kieran Tierney will be one of the hottest properties in the Scottish transfer market this season and even Celtic know it for a fact that it will be really hard for them to hold on to the left-back.

So what they will try to do instead is squeeze as much money out as possible for the transfer.
