Rangers FC take on Kilmarnock in the Premiership on Wednesday and the Gers will be hoping for a tough fight from Steve Clarke’s boys.

The Gers are currently level on points with Celtic who sit at the top of the table but Brendan Rodgers’ men have one game in hand meaning Rangers need to pick up three points in this game in order to maintain the pressure on their arch-rivals.

But right now the biggest question in everyone’s mind is whether Jordan Jones will start for Kilmarnock during the midweek fixture.

Jordan Jones has so far been a key figure in the Kilmarnock squad playing in 24 games for Steve Clarke’s side.

But the winger has signed a pre-contract with Rangers and will join Steven Gerrard’s men at the end of the season.

And many Kilmarnock fans are wary of Jordan Jones’ performance against Rangers given his head might not be in the right place.

But the Kilmarnock manager has made it clear that Jordan Jones is fit and ready to play against his soon to be new club.

“If Jordan is fit and ready to go and I want to use him then that’s what I will do,” said Clarke.

“He is a Kilmarnock player, he has sorted his future out which is good for him.

“But I think he is a good player, an important player for my team so if I decide that he is going to start on Wednesday night then he is going to start.

“I have no worries about Jordan whatsoever.”

This match will be double edged word for Rangers because a loss would not only push Steven Gerrard’s men away from the top of the table but Kilmarnock will move about to second spot if they pick up all three points from this game.
