Kyle Lafferty to Rangers

Rangers FC have finally signed their third striker in the form of Hearts frontman Kyle Lafferty.

Earlier today, Gers boss Steven Gerrard had revealed that both the clubs had finally agreed upon a fee and that Lafferty was on his way to Ibrox.

Gerrard had also claimed that he expected the transfer to be fast-tracked and within hours of his statement, the club have officially announced that Kyle Lafferty is back to the club for a second spell.

Kyle Lafferty has signed a two year deal with the club and the 30-year-old will bring the much-needed experience to his attack which up until this point of time was fairly young.

But that is not the only thing Gerrard has claimed since the Light Blues boss has also gone on to add that Kyle Lafferty can very much be a part of the Europa League clash which Rangers play on Thursday against FC Ufa.

Steven Gerrard said: “We’re very hopeful,

“If we do manage to do it in time, of course, he will be available and be involved but I don’t want to jump the gun and get excited too early. We have a verbal agreement with Hearts and we are very hopeful it will be done and dusted to make him available. If not, we have to be a bit more patient.

“He knows what this club’s about and knows what it’s like to perform in front of this crowd and the expectation.

“He adds a lot experience because we’re a young squad. He’s a Rangers nut and he’s desperate to come. He ticks all the boxes that we want as a front man.”

While Gerrard has said that Kyle Lafferty will be a part of the matchday squad against FC Ufa but we do not expect him to start the game given the crazy form that Alfredo Morelos has been in during the start of the new season.
