PSG Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid have been chasing Kylian Mbappe for ages but according to CadenaSER, the Los Blancos are no longer interested in signing the attacker.

Madrid have had their eyes on Mbappe for three seasons and they had plans to sign the French international on a free transfer at the end of this season but now, the La Liga side do not wish to bring him on board.

There are several reasons why Florentino Perez has lost interest in the forward and one of them is obviously his high salary demand. Kylian Mbappe will reportedly quote around €20 million per year and that’s something that Madrid do not want to pay right now.

The second reason is his age because when the Spanish side registered their interest in Mbappe, he was around 21 years old but he is going to turn 25 in December so it makes no sense to spend so much money on someone who’s no longer a young superstar.

Do Real Madrid have a replacement ready for Kylian Mbappe?

The fact that Madrid have backtracked will be a big boost for PSG who will not feel that Kylian Mbappe will want to sign an extension and remain in Paris.

The reports are suggesting that Madrid wants to focus on 17-year-old incoming striker Endrick but we seriously think Perez will now focus on Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Haaland has also been on Madrid’s wishlist and now that they have backed out of the Mbappe race, they won’t mind trying to lure in the Norwegian international.

Erling Haaland is easily the best striker in the world right now and the 23-year-old will be a great replacement for Karim Benzema. He’s shown no signs of discontent at Man City but not many players in the world can outright reject an offer from Real Madrid.

City will obviously demand a crazy fee to push away the interested clubs but the Los Blancos won’t mind spending money on a 23-year-old goal machine rather than hand €20 million per year to Kylian Mbappe. It will be an uphill task landing the Norwegian but he’s already won an English treble at City and a new adventure in Spain can easily entice him.

There’s no news what Madrid’s alternate plan is going to be but we are confident they have a Plan B which will come to light in the coming months.
