Rangers FC play the first leg of the Europa League play-offs vs Russian side FC Ufa on Thursday.

While the Light Blues are odds-on favourites to win the tie but the manager has revealed some selection details which could seriously affect their performance.

Steven Gerrard has confirmed that midfielder Lassana Coulibaly will not be available for the game.

Talking to the press, the Gers manager said: “Coulibaly won’t be involved tomorrow night.”

Everyone was hoping that Coulibaly would be able to make himself fit for the clash on Thursday but it seems that is not the case.

This absence of the midfielder will surely be a huge blow to Steven Gerrard since Lassana Coulibaly has been that driving force at the heart of the pitch since arriving during the summer.

Without Coulibaly, the Light Blues are expected to line up with three in midfield and youngster Ross McCrorie might get to play in defensive midfield after the manager sung his praises a couple of days ago.
