The new Premier League season has picked up speed and with that most of the top rated football shows are back.

And football legends and current pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have given their first set of predictions for the 2018-19 season.

On Monday Night Football, the duo was asked about the favourites to win the title during the new campaign.




To which both of them promptly responded with Manchester City.




City have been tipped by many to defend their Premier League crown and the way they have started the new season it seems that they will do that with ease.

Carragher and Neville were also asked about the other three teams who will make it to the Champions League spots and both of them selected the same teams – Liverpool, Man United and Tottenham Hotspur.




They were also on the same page about the player of the season as they chose Manchester City playmaker David Silva.




But the duo had different opinions when it came to the top goalscorer as Carragher chose Harry Kane while Gary Neville chose Man City frontman, Sergio Aguero.

Gary Neville believes that Liverpool’s Alisson Becker will be the player to watch out for during the current season while Carragher believes that another Liverpool man Naby Keita will steal the show.








While Neville and Carragher might differ in some of their views but their predictions have shed light on one thing – that Liverpool and Manchester City are going to dominate the 2018-19 season.
